Layouts that make me happy

It never feels like it at the time, but I actually do get a respectable amount done at retreats. That's about the ONLY time I stick photos to paper (unless its biz related) so really, ANY number of completed pages is a good number! I'm very fortunate to be able to go to so many retreats and get so much done.

Much of my creative energy goes into projects for the Workshop. You ask for the ideas and buy the kits, so you deserve the bulk of that creativity!!

The pages I create for myself are usually pretty simple. Lots of cardstock, a little patterned paper, a few well placed embellishments, a title if I fee like it, journaling (almost always by hand) and I'm done. Oh yeah, and some serious scraplifting. I don't *copy* layouts as a whole, but I do take elements from them and add my own flavours...kind of like updating grandma's recipe, you know??

Here are a few that I finished recently. (please ignore the low quality pics) Why are they favourites? For lots of reasons. Maybe I just really like the photos. Or I finished it FAST with no stress. Or the colours make me happy. Colour is a big deal. Not that I need bold colours all the time. Its when colour really works with the photos to convey the mood I'm feeling. That's when colour makes me happiest.
